Last Friday night my friend Oliver and I walked up to Julian Curtis School to workout. Arriving at the playground we were surprised to see a basketball. We felt that God had provided the ball to engage in an encouraging conversation about life while shooting. We discussed the battle between light and darkness, I recalled John 8:12 where Jesus says, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
I told Oliver that darkness and its deeds have no power over the light.
When you turn on the light in your room, darkness has no choice...IT HAS TO LEAVE.
When darkness tries to increase, the light within us just shines brighter.
I remember waking up from nightmares as a kid, fumbling around to find the switch that would illuminate the room instantly. The light gave me comfort and peace.
